Little things in life mean the most, ya heard?

Have you ever read the book Things to Be Happy about? Or Been on the website?
Have you ever just had that nice breeze of happiness when you think about something that fills your heart with warm and fuzzies?

Go explore the website. It will have you leaving with appreciating the little things in life more than you know.

What will you find on my happy list? Well...

Frank Sinatra. His voice, regardless of the age. It's truly timeless to me, and reminds me of my parents blasting it during car rides as a child. Clearly he has such a big impact on my life that I name part of my blog after him. Kind-of-a-big-deal? Heck yes.

Polynesian Hotel at Disney in Florida. Something about that hotel makes me so happy. I love when I get random whifs of who the heck knows what smell it even is but sometimes I find it and it brings me back to my childhood running around on a cool Florida morning getting ready for brunch at my favorite hotel. Also associated with Disney, the GREATEST place ever aka instant happiness.

The color yellow.

Smooth Jazz. Again triggers a sense that reminds me of my childhood.

Sunsets.

Singing in the Rain (the movie). Granted I love singing in the rain like literally singing in the rain, but I love the feeling of an old fashioned movie and songs.

Pageants. Psh as if ya didn't know that about me.

Cinnamon Sugar Eggo waffles that haven't been toasted. Trust me they aren't like rock hard coming out of the fridge (for whatever reason) so I eat them cold. and I am a happy child young adult.

Reconnecting with friends you haven't talked to in a while and you talk as if you haven't missed a single day.

Thinking about days at sleep away camp.

Working at a summer camp and seeing the little girls flock to you because they admire you so much and want to be just like you.

How close I am to my immediate family.

Discovering new songs...which are soon put on repeat forever.

The fact I can basically go to ANY state and know I have a friend I could stay with.

Israel. Israel. Israel. Israel. My forever home.
(and the memories/friendships I've made on my trips)

PUPPIES. obv.

Watching home-videos/reminiscing on family inside jokes.

When my role model acknowledges me.

The Jersey Shore. NOT THE TV SHOW. The place I've gone every summer of my entire life.

Birthday celebrations.

Old school disney movies.

Having to visit a Margaritaville every family vacation we go on.
On that note? Jimmy Buffet

Finding a new book that you just can't put down.

Family movie nights.

Summer concerts with best friends (and a summer shandy..shhh!)

Linking up with my spirit animal, Whit for back that azz up with some feel good jams.

Good Day by Nappy Roots on Grooveshark
Whoa! After writing this all down, I just feel the happiness oozing out of my fingertips.
Cool. I guess...
:)
So...
What makes you happy?!

To simply brighten your day:

Thursday's can suck. You are ONE day from the weekend, and it just so happens to sometimes be the longest day ever. Find yourself giggling while reading my post. Hopefully with some morning/afternoon coffee, or even a big bite of your favorite guilty pleasure food. Yes, you deserve it!

"If you like cute dog & baby stuff, you'll love this" so accurate and true.

Yes.

Dawwww, thanks Ry!

The story of us:

Want to find out why I'm head over heels ALWAYS for B? Or the reason why I think we work so well together because of our silly past? Read on, lovers of love. alright, couldn't come up with anything clever at the moment in time

1. Summer 2009: Our first time ever hanging out/picture together down the shore (read: what we call beach, obv). We met through mutual friends, aka boyfriend at the time. I couldn't help but admire (aka zoom in on my camera) his small yet ab-ed up bod.
2.Spring 2010: The first time we kissed! Well, not that night but in the spring. In a friends backyard. So unromantic but it was a dream come true (for me). Not so much for him. He totally wanted to get it over with.
3.Cotillion 2010: I begged him to take me since we went to different schools at the time. I knew it would be the start of something new. cue high school musical lyrics...
4. March 2010: Traveled the world together. Made him sit next to me for a 7 hour plane ride. Obsessed over his chin hair (because for some WEIRD reason I thought it was so cute). I also jokingly locked him in a bathroom (pictured above) because I wanted him to kiss me...he wouldn't on account of the fact his best friend (who was my best friend) liked me. B is too nice (except I was mad because I just wanted him to want me).
Here's where B had a girlfriend and we stopped talking for a little less than a year. Then I facebook messaged him and texted him constantly because I was sadly in desperate need of a prom date. But it ended out working in the end for both of us... ;)
5. June 2012: PROM. Great weekend. And we were without a doubt the best looking couple there. He asked me out on June 3rd (the last night of prom weekend). I couldn't have asked for anything more!
6.For our one month he took me to the boardwalk (where they have shops/rides/arcades/teenagers dressing how they shouldn't/etc). I was dying to go on a Ferris Wheel and although he doesn't do heights he was a trooper and made me feel like the luckiest girl ever.
7. B's first summer concert. Granted it was Mac Miller so it wasn't fun but we saw some great friends, survived a rainstorm, and enjoyed each other's company for it was the night before my birthday (and our two months).
8.October 2012: Pageant weekend. When I competed, he came home from school, suffered a ride with parentals, and watched 75+ girls strut their stuff. I was so excited for him to come because I knew how excited he would be since I taught him EVERYTHING he needed to know about pageants. He sent me such a sweet text afterwards and I couldn't wait to show him off to all of the girls.
9. Fall 2012: Our first semesters away at college. At a year now (NEXT MONDAY!)  we've overcome so so much and I am so happy he has been by my side. We are the greatest of friends which I think makes our relationship that much better.

Ok, so that isn't the full story but I think that's some awesome highlights of us. Hope you understand my crazy 'obsession' with him now

So inspiring, too.

This was a bit of a shakeup to start my morning, safe to say I'm in tears.

(10) things to be happy about

10.  Puppies. Leeeeeets be real. I want one!

9.  Peanut butter ice cream. don't act suprized!

8. Learning about history. Yep, total nerd.

7. Getting addicted to new shows aka at the moment Greek.

6. Kids! Playing with them and reminiscing on the days that you were once in their shoes when everything in life was so very simple...

5. Vacationing. I love the feeling of getting on a plane and knowing I'm traveling somewhere!

4. Summer. Summer to me has always been my favorite. My birthday, camp, etc. Happiest times of my life have been during the summer.

3. The friends and family that have stuck by my side. always.

2. B and I's relationship. We've been friends for about 5 years now, but dating for only (almost) 1. We can fight like a married couple (our friends tell us), push and joke with each other playfully like brother and sister, and best of all be who we want to be with each other. He rocks!

1.  The life I live. Yep, it has it's up and downs trust me, but everything I've done is a lesson learned and has gotten me to where I am today.

come sing along

I bet you that you don't even realize sometimes but there are songs that automatically make you really happy right? Since it's summer and I diagnosed myself with seasonal depression, it means I am now happy happy happy (yep, it's true).

Also, who doesn't love the feeling of driving with windows down, warm weather, and BLASTING their fav tunes. No, I actually mean BLASTING. and screaming your head off like no other. (read: that was totally me last night)

Sister Hazel- All for You
Confirmation: throwback songs are THE best

Thompson Square -If I Didn't have you
yea, I basically cry at this song sometimes because I'm a girl. So there's that.

The Maine- Right Girl
If you enjoy what I said before aka blasting music like no ones business, I recommend downloading this song nooooow.

Lana Del Rey- Young and Beautiful
Amazing song via Gatsby soundtrack!

I Don't Want This Night to End- Luke Bryan
Because, well...he's a beauty.

Friday Findings || The little things

Happy end of the week to you all! I was a bit unsure as to what I wanted to share with you all this fantastic friday, but I figured it out! I'm currently sitting on a bus...WITH wifi! And outlets! Ok, maybe I'm being a bit too excited for a young adult living in the year 2013, but busses I've been on that claim to have wifi usually don't have it working, or their plugs are broken. Yeah, I'm not too sure what that means either... I was so worried I would have nothing to do for the next two and a half hours but helloooooo blogging! On top of my excitement for this trip, this is truly a cherry on top! It really is the little things...I swear!

So back to today's post...I wanted to share with you all the little things in life
that make me so very happy

Yep, thats the boyfriend. I know you think this was probably taken yesterday on account that we are both sooo young looking, but I am thankful for him and our history pre-relationship! We, as friends, were able to venture to Israel at a young age and experience it together and can still talk about it now which is so great Maybe another time I'll share our weird history of stories (we'll see...probably not since they are so embarrassing). All in all, I am so lucky to be able to have a great friend that turned into a boyfriend. He really is the greatest I could ask for, no matter the distance.

Watching Breakfast At Tiffany's

Interior Designing
Maybe it's been a hobby of mine to redecorate/decorate/craft since the good old Sims days, but either way, it is so relaxing for me! Yes, it can be stressful but I've never actually been able to redecorate my house since I haven't fully put on my big girl pants and enter the 'real world' yet. I love designing though and this simple hobby makes me so very happy!

It hasn't been hard at all to feel welcome in the blogosphere. Although I am just recently starting out, I've already made great connections and look forward to waking up in the morning to check out what everyones posting about! I admire so many great bloggers and hope to one day accomplish where they are in their blogging career! When you leave comments, it makes me so so happy! It shows that real people are actually checking out my blog, not just someone accidentally came across it and clicked the backspace button accidentally. Yay friends!

aka what I'm doing right now...traveling!
As vile as airports can be, the thrill of going through security and hearing my boarding zone get called gets my blood pumping! Regardless of where I'm going, I get so excited. This weekend I am very fortunate to be able to see some friends at their college (Michigan State) and reunite for I haven't seen quite a few in over a year. Isn't it just the best feeling when you think you won't see someone for a while or ever again and the feeling you get when you know you will be reunited? Alright guys, I know I'm not alone!

Before I get motion sickness I think I'm going to wrap this one up. Between the medium iced coffee, which was actually so satisfying, and the bumpy michigan roads, I don't know how well I'm going to last on this bus ride! Enjoy your weekends everyone!
