Country Road take me home.

Good morning! Stop your yawning and grab some coffee with this morning read.
I'll wait....

Yep. Still waiting.

Pick me up a hazelnut ice coffee while you're at it?!
Good? Alright. Let's do this.

So I know that South Carolina (especially Myrtle Beach) is NOT considered country. But if you are a 'Joisey' (read: we don't actually pronounce it like that) girl, then you know it's a bit lot of a culture shock when you see stores with camo and confederate errrrythang.
I spent the past (almost) week in Myrtle Beach and wanted to share my trip with you.
*NOTE*: I ate the bestttttt crepes in the south. And unfortunately, they were TOO good to want to wait a minute, pick up my phone, choose an artsy filter that makes it look more delish (whaaaa?!), andddd then finally eat it. Yeah, sorry. I ate them twice this past week and I only regretted my decision after the fact. Nothing I could do about it then

Besides the beautiful southern sunsets (seen above), I got to see some awesome impersonators at Legends (A must see if going to Myrtle Beach). I watched drooled over Elvis, and got nightmares from the MJ impersonator. I thought to myself, what in the WORLD do you have to look like in real life to be a MJ impersonator?! Think about it.

Another great thing about the south is that things are so cheap! I went to a rando discount/bargain place and bought the cutest swim top for 10.00. I don't think I've found something ever so cheep even in Target!
I also discovered the comparason between the largest hand in the world. And mine. (My baby brother, who is taller than me, also has much bigger hands than me!) Ugh. Short people problems. Can you tell lately I enjoy stealing my brother's snapback because I think I look ghetto fab. Cool right? Baaasic.

A great quote learned from this trip:
"Fish and family are the same after three days: they both stink" -Some random guy a shuttle bus.
I'm with the dude on that one. As awesome as my trip was, I'm ready for my own bed. Orrrrrr more like I'm ready to get my butt to DC in TWO days!

How funny is this?! I loveee the movie Big so this made me giggle!

Enjoy your day! And the coffee I know you grabbed ;)

Chug a beer with Miss Illinois (JK)

Alright if you know ANYTHING about pageants you know that girls during pageants cannot drink. Silly Luke Bryan! But it's ok Luke, I still think you're hot anyway and I'd sit in Suntan city catchin' these rays with you.

ANYWAY...this upcoming weekend (Sunday night) is the Miss USA 2013 pageant. *Screams like a little girl on the top of her lungs* Yea, I'm beyond excited. Last year, it was during prom weekend and I made everyone watch, even the guys. I let them poke fun about it at dinner before hand, but before I knew it, there boy eyes were glued to the screen. Yuppppp, just what I thought!

This year, there themed photo shoot was The Great Gatsby. Fadil Berisha is a photo genuis. They all looked so beautiful. If you are interested you can check out their headshots here to judge for yourself or wait til show time and see my obnoxious freak out tweets via @rgord. I've lost many followers this way and I'm damn proud of it.

Here's who I like (based on their photos), and in no order:

 Michigan. Hellooooo eyebrows! I want!
New York. Graduated from the school I'm transferring from.
She is gorgeous though! I'm so excited for her!
Oklahoma
Idaho
Rhode Island
New Jersey. I'm a jersey girl so this is basically obligatory...but she does look gorgeous!

Hope you tune in sunday too! Who do you think will win?

Heyyy Alyssa (Miss USA 2011)...how did you get here? :P

You were right

I cannot thank you enough for all of your comment telling me how amazing of a concert Luke Bryan & Florida Georgia Line were. You were right! I danced the night away, stomped my feet in the Georgia (jk) mud, and rolled my windows down and cruised! FGL & Luke were both amazing performers. Check out my time at Dirt Road Diaries tour:

(Being on the lawn means you get terrible pictures but a solid view)

(My DIY bow I made from a flag&hair tie!)

(During Muckalee Creek Water I went on my friends cousin's shoulders and it was the coolest thing ever. I had THE perfect view)

I was so upset that Thompson Square wasn't able to make it but hands down the best concert I've ever been to. Luke pulled a 5 year old boy on stage during Country Girl and it was the sweetest thing. He also saw the crowd holding signs for an 18 year old boy leaving in a month for the marines and he pulled him on stage and there was a huugeeee U.S.A chant. I had the chills!

**

Off to celebrate my one year! I figured out what we were doing early since his original plan was to take me to Hershey Park but it's supposed to rain around there so were checking out the Phillies game today...SO excited!

mission possible: MDW.

For lack of a better explanation, MDW is here and I am off to the shore!
Mother nature, why must you give us bad weather out of ALL weekends? Grrrrrr....

Last years MDW = disaster. Oh boy to think how things have change so so much since then and I couldn't be happier.
Here's a picture from the weekend from utter and complete hell:

My exciting week leading up to today has been as follows:
Working with kiddies, B, working again, watching greek, eating (a lot), taking B to the mall, go to roomies for the night and see her beautiful sister at prom pictures, ICE CREAM, bother B, etc.

So crazy right?
Not trying to bore you either so here's pictures!...because it proves how lame my life can be.

Mall trip: B is against yellow pants, while I'm 100% for them. I made him try them on. He whined about how silly he looked. (You cray, boy.)

Tuesday's OOTD: Hooray for preppy 'errythang

This picture deserves to be as small as possible because it is, well, icky. B looks like a creeper and I don't even look like myself buuuuuut its proof we hung out this week! and got some yummy cherry-vanilla gelati!! Story time: last year we used to go to this ice cream shop all the time and just sit there til we were the last people in the parking lot and talked for hours and hours, thus the start of our relationshippy! (Yeahhhhhh, I did just say relationshippy. Judge me.)

countdown: 9 days til our one year! 8 days til my surprise from B!
7 days until LUKE BRYAN!!!

my exciting life, according to me

I can't believe...

...there's so many great things going on in my life right now: Working at a daycare with cute (and annoying) kiddies. B went out of his way to ask me to go to dinner this/next week (which is silly but he never formally asks me so it is the little things in life). Seeing my mom/freshman roomie this weekend for MDW. Reconnecting with old friends. The beginning of summer.

...I made a bet with B over my plate at iHop. so so good. For some reason, I can never finish my plate so he told me to stir up a bet...so I did. If I finished everything, he would have to go running with me (read: he's a track-star but when it's off season he's the definition of couch potato). I won. boom.

...He also won't tell me about what we are doing for our one year. And I have zero patience.

...B's mom is thinking about fostering a morkie (maltese/yorkie) for a week aka the type of dog I want aka I volunteered to take care of the dog even though I don't live there. give me puppy!

...I'm going on season two of Greek and I'm not even sorry. If you watch(ed), please know I really don't like Rebecca Logan.

...I found out Breaking Amish is fake and no longer have any hope and decided to not watch anymore. Google it - I learned the hard way.

...After 2 months+ of being on Blogger, I remember HTML from my precious myspace layout making days. If you need anything (button, layout, etc) let me know - I'd be more than happy to do it for no charge!

...I just want to go to a Phillies game. Please please someone take me.

E-cards, couldn't have said it any better myself

come sing along

I bet you that you don't even realize sometimes but there are songs that automatically make you really happy right? Since it's summer and I diagnosed myself with seasonal depression, it means I am now happy happy happy (yep, it's true).

Also, who doesn't love the feeling of driving with windows down, warm weather, and BLASTING their fav tunes. No, I actually mean BLASTING. and screaming your head off like no other. (read: that was totally me last night)

Sister Hazel- All for You
Confirmation: throwback songs are THE best

Thompson Square -If I Didn't have you
yea, I basically cry at this song sometimes because I'm a girl. So there's that.

The Maine- Right Girl
If you enjoy what I said before aka blasting music like no ones business, I recommend downloading this song nooooow.

Lana Del Rey- Young and Beautiful
Amazing song via Gatsby soundtrack!

I Don't Want This Night to End- Luke Bryan
Because, well...he's a beauty.
