Chug a beer with Miss Illinois (JK)

Alright if you know ANYTHING about pageants you know that girls during pageants cannot drink. Silly Luke Bryan! But it's ok Luke, I still think you're hot anyway and I'd sit in Suntan city catchin' these rays with you.

ANYWAY...this upcoming weekend (Sunday night) is the Miss USA 2013 pageant. *Screams like a little girl on the top of her lungs* Yea, I'm beyond excited. Last year, it was during prom weekend and I made everyone watch, even the guys. I let them poke fun about it at dinner before hand, but before I knew it, there boy eyes were glued to the screen. Yuppppp, just what I thought!

This year, there themed photo shoot was The Great Gatsby. Fadil Berisha is a photo genuis. They all looked so beautiful. If you are interested you can check out their headshots here to judge for yourself or wait til show time and see my obnoxious freak out tweets via @rgord. I've lost many followers this way and I'm damn proud of it.

Here's who I like (based on their photos), and in no order:

 Michigan. Hellooooo eyebrows! I want!
New York. Graduated from the school I'm transferring from.
She is gorgeous though! I'm so excited for her!
Oklahoma
Idaho
Rhode Island
New Jersey. I'm a jersey girl so this is basically obligatory...but she does look gorgeous!

Hope you tune in sunday too! Who do you think will win?

Heyyy Alyssa (Miss USA 2011)...how did you get here? :P

Right Reasons

Finally caught up with The Bachelorette! Here's what I thought...

Brooks: Way cute date idea minus the cheesy-ness of sitting on the Hollywood sign. Totally would have loved a private concert from Andy Grammar.

Ben: He played his cards right, for freakin' sure. I thought he was going to be a really sweet guy blah blah blah he had his little man come with him for the first time he stepped out of the limo. He causes drama by stealing Des away and all the guys have found mutual hatred for him. I was honestly disappointed he's a jerk. He reminds me of what will be the guy version of 'Tierra'.

Mikey T: I am suuuuuch a Mikey T fan. I don't know why. He seems sweet (for now) but  he seems like he genuinely cares. I'm fully rooting for the man

Bryden: I didn't think he had much of a personality at first but on his date with Des it seems like they really had hit it off. Except when he pulled out pictures from his accident. Literally LOL WHAT. Ya know its casual to carry those pics around on the daily.

But wait....what was the point of that music video????? Hi soulja boy.
The actual music video here

Peanut Butter, Sunburn, & Bloggin'.

I can't believe...

...I helped my blog bestie, Erica, and revamped her WHOLE entire blog for her! She was so excited too which made me super duper happy! I'd be more than happy to help you, too!

...Luke Bryan is in 3 days. Celebrating my one year is in 4. Actual one year is in 5!
I think I'm forever going to love the first weekend in June!

Here's what I did this MDW weekend:
Died my hair darker. And cut it shorter...still slowly growing into the length...

Sat outside, read Gatsby, and got burnt (which I don't mind but I get yelled at by everyone because it's so bad). Oh! I got a pedi too which was beyond beyond needed so that was fun!

It might look like throw up (icky, sorry) but IT'S NOT! It's 'Peanut Butter Twirl' ice cream I got at B's new summer job! so jealous of him because he gets left overs at the end of the night. I sent him this picture of my finished ice cream (read: He usually finishes my ice cream for me....9/10 times) to prove how awesome I am.

...Tuesday was the first day in forever I didn't watch at least one episode of Greek. I am still mourning Casey and Max's relationship. Already in the middle of season 3, and there's only 4 seasons. Cue waterfall of tears.

Here's to summer

What I've learned in the past week:

1. I can sit in bed for hours, FINALLY get netflix and watch Greek. Yes greek, it's old and I'm about 5 years late...Casey and Evan or Casey and Cappie? don't tell me! Only on season 1!

2. Movies can and will be crowded on Sunday nights. I saw 42 last night and it was so great! I highly recommend you see it if you haven't yet. It was so worth it and I sat in the second row.

3. Distance makes the heart grow fonder. I'm totally used to LDR-ing from 2 hours away, not having the leisure of seeing B whenever. For now, I like having space at times.

4. Who cares if it doesn't cost a lot if its cute, right? Story goes like this: Went to Joyce Leslie. Got a top I fell in love with. Only 14.99. The end.

judge on, my friends.

5. Breaking Amish has become my life. I mean after all I am moving near the Lancaster area next year. Don't worry I'm as 'english' as it gets and won't ever change. I like cars. Although a horse and buggy ride would be cool once in a while...

6. I am my mothers daughter. While panicking for my one year anniversary gift even though I have two weeks (still), I knew I had to get it done. B has enough DIY crafts via me, a new wallet, and odds and ends. You can't go wrong with some clothes. Preppy clothes. Preppy clothes found at TJ Maxx for under 50 bucks. Hello a college girl bank accounts dream!

7. I've been crrrrraaaving iHop. Hello yummy pancakes and brunch date with B.

8. I'm obsessed with Peanut butter. Not even kidding. I bought a lot of peanut butter ice cream this weekend as well as consumed helluva lot of PB and Banana sandwiches.

@MindyKaling

If you are as much of a Mindy Kaling fan as I am....meaning you religiously watch The Mindy Project, occasional episodes of The Office, that means you were able to finish her overly hilarious book in a few short days. I couldn't help to read the book and have a voiceover in my head of her reading it.

 **

If you haven't had the chance to read it yet....I'll give you a sneak peak with some of my favorite excerpts from the book!

1.  [about Pierce Brosnan]: "He is manly and glistening, and I remember this one point very clearly: he has a thick swatch of chest hair. It was a minor sexual awakening. During Mrs. Doubtfire. Not a move often cited for its idealized depiction of traditional masculinity."

2. "Nothing says impenetrability and closeness like a silk-screened T-shirt with an acronym most people don't understand."

3. "It's the same mysterious and powerful hatred that reared its head later in life for other things, like hiking, orientation games, and having to watch any kind of pageant whatsoever."

4. [About Jewish mothers]: "Hey look. I know you talk to your mom twice a day on the phone, and I talk to my mom only once a day. That doesn't mean your mom beats my mom. Also, I know your mom is an amazing cook. I feel like you think my mom cooked us Hamburger Helper growing up."

5. "A charismatic and almost incomprehensible Frence stylist took me to a trailer filled with gowns. It was like walking through Saddam Hussein's niece's closet. Organza, tulle, silk filled the trailer from floor to ceiling; rhinestones and feathers were everywhere."

The Carrie Diaries

Who else but Carrie Bradshaw could rock a DIY nail polish splattered expensive cross body, to a mixed matched outfit that could only be found in the real world at a high end thrift shop that nobody knows about? While watching the pilot for this new series last night, I couldn't help but admire how AnnaSophia Robb picked up on some of SJP's expressions and body language. For all the SATC addicts (aka, like me) this show has everything and more! -- the gossip, the solid group of friends, the attraction to the ultimate 'bad boy', the exposure to homoerotic lifestyles and city night life!

Cute new kid to town -- Carrie already has all the deets.
Get a young Carrie Bradshaw look for sooo much less ::
