To start off my day (besides drinking iced water, doing 100 sit ups and eating peanut butter out of the jar), I found this article --> 8 Things Every Girl in Her Early 20's Should Know. Well here's what I have to add:
1. Eat Pizza Lunchables daily. IT'S OK. Just because people might judge you in the check out line with a pizza lunchable in hand, DOES NOT mean you should put it back or feel insecure for your decisions. Make sure to get the one that INCLUDES the capri sun. Also, you are benefiting monsieur wallet because one of these beautiful creations are cheaper than your greasy Chickfila (I still love you..).
2. Just because over half of gen-Y is a comm major does not mean you need to be attached to your phone. I'm not saying being a comm major is a bad thing BECAUSE IT IS NOT. It's actually the greatest because no math OR science is involved (#creativemindsolutions). Yet we find ourselves constantly attached to our phone for our jobs/internships making sure we tweet the latest news article, share our outfit of the day, or update our Facebook status in hopes people will care and actually come out to the local networking event courtesy of your PR job. Let go of your phone for a minute. Or like, an hour - I think you'll and the rest of the world will live. You are also saving your eyes, a little bit...
3. Even if your job doesn't allow it, sometimes a Mental Health day will help you. If you use that day to go get the newest Porter mag or search the racks for $3 graphic tanks (you too?), or even just to binge watch One Tree Hill all day in bed while eating cookie dough, go for it. We all need that type of day sometime to bring us back to reality and see what goes on at TJ Maxx at 11AM when it's infested with moms dragging their toddlers. Or just go sit at a park, look for potential guys to take you to dinners, and eat your chickfila number 3 meal. Chickfila really does solve a ton of problems
4. Etsy is dangerous. If you're on your no spend month (ok, I've never been able to do that), don't go on etsy. Although it looks bright and fluffy and the fact you can get the CELFIÈ shirt for $20+ cheaper, say no. The fact that you can get great products for less - your bank account will be whining. Soon following, you will be too.
5. Work out. Of course, I am NOT the person to stop you from downing your chicfila/wawa/burritos galore shenanigans because that would be down right hypocritical. But one day it's going to creep on my canoli and cupcake loving bottom. What do I do? When starting my day, I decide to do 100 crunches a day...and have (read: on and off) since last Wednesday. Pin a rose on my nose.
6. Watch Breakfast at Tiffany's. You'll learn a thing or two about life.

rGd loves #TheSelfie (A giveaway)
Hey you. Because I'm comparable to the most interesting male in the world, here's what you might want to know about me...
a Rafflecopter giveaway
I was compensated for this post c/o Cardinal Gift Etsy. However, all opinions are 100% my own
+My style is preppy meets hipster (ya know, things you see on tumblr now a days...)
+Pizza lunchables are my absolute favorite thing in the world (#winning)
+Beyonce is pretty cool and I think her and I would have a great time cruising the west coast in a top down pink convertible
+I am a sucker for monogram anything. You name it, I probably have it monogrammed. Car decal, hat, clothing (x5), and jewelry out the wazoo.
Selfies are a must because sometimes having professional pictures is overrated. Mmmmkay?
The work behind Cardinal Gift Etsy shop is incredible. All the pieces are acrylic yet half of them (like this one), you really can't even tell. Unless you're crazy and inspect it under a microscope. I love pairing my Tortoise shell monogram necklace with higher necklines (I got the 16" one!) and think it's absolutely perfect. I've gotten compliments left and right, and I obviously couldn't have done it without the man the myth the legend behind Cardinal Gift. Like any other etsy shop, it was reliable, great customer service, and got exactly what I had hoped for.
Thanks to the hard work and awesome partnership I created with Cardinal Gift Etsy shop, we're able to present to you....your own tortoise shell monogram necklace with gold chain. Fo free. Even if you don't win, you are eligible for a discount (since you rock and read Sunshine and Sinatra)!
Make sure to type in the promo code 'SUNSHINEANDSINATRA'!!!

Are you a rebel?
Skipped class? boy I hope not.
Ever do anything your parents told you not to do but you did it anyway?
I mean, I'm sure that was me at one point just nothing to extreme because I've never been to much of a wild child.
However, sophomore year of high school I begged my mom for a second piercing because I thought it was cool since everyone did and and I just wanted to be trendy. Jeez mom, I mean do you want a teenager who is not cool or something?!
Back to my point. I was between searching for sorority stuff and jewelry when I came across Catchy Things Etsy. Mia is a teenager who is super trendy and cool. Like have you seen her shirt dress? I wish I was crafty and smart enough to design something like this!
(via twitter)
I came across her gold cuff because I've been dying to see myself with a cartilage piercing, although I know I would never cave in and get a real one. I AM A BABY. okay!?
I finally got mine in the mail the other day and I was so excited! She even added a heart next to my name. It's the little things okay!? I raced up to my room and cut it open!
Ugh I can feel the coolness running off of me. #Brushingthedirtoffmyshoulder, Brb.
She even was so cute and added hair ties, for free, which was awesome because I was seriously thinking about trying them out the other day! I've been using it now and I love how cute they look! She also sent me a blue and white one, sup sorority colors!
Free ahir ties cuz yolo? Does she know that we are twins because I say because yolo too often, too?!
Make sure you check out her shop! I can't stop looking and feeling trendy with my cuff!
Thanks for being awesome, Mia!
Check out her twitter & etsy!

Psh, who uses etsy anyway?
*Raises hand* I do!
I've bought great products from various shop owners (much cheeper too!) Not only is it reliable, but if your spending on a budget. Guaranteed you can find your product/gift for much cheaper. Just keep searching, just keep searching.
Buuuuuuuut I started my own etsy. Being unemployed, ya gotta try to make money somehow.
Like, this weekend I got hired to train myself/promote mcdonalds shakes. ON A SEGWAY. How freakin' cool. Happy fourth to me! (Post hopefully later to come aka after it happens)
So if you've seen my instagram, you know how much I enjoy painting/drawing/anything artsy.
shameless promotion: GO BUY THINGS. or check 'em out at least.
Ok. So maybe watercolor isn't my thing!
But hey you can check out my flower canvases. If I must be conceited for a minute, I'd like to say my flower paintings are the ish.
They make great gifts for little girls rooms! Or even your own (because I have some hanging in mine.)
Check it out yo. Etsy life away here!
Here ends the shameless promotion.
OH! Happy fourth to ya too!

Preppy on a Budget
As I had about 12-15 tabs open of items I wanted from Marley Lilly, I narrowed it down to these. See, as I was looking through the prices I was thinking, "ooh! I just got a paycheck I can spend it all on Marley Lilly!!!" WRONG RACHEL. You. Are. Wrong. Luckily, I was smart enough to put my debit card down and proceed on with my day.
I went back on my computer, too soon and came across the idea of searching for these items on Etsy. Guess what? Well, not a good idea for my debit card but I found all the items I wanted, FOR MUCH CHEAPER! The greatest part about Etsy, in my opinion, is that there are different 'shops' to choose from, that price things different. I put on my thinking cap and searched far and wide to find my cheapest options.
If you are looking for one, I highly reccomend MEEsDesigns. I placed my order and received it within 5 days. But want to know the best part? $2.90, including shipping. WOO. Count me in. It's been on my phone for a little under a week now and I've received so many compliments. Even my dad thinks it's the bee's knees.
Best picture I could take, sorry! ...But it fits perfectly!
Ever want to monogram your car? Because I sure did. I was SO excited when I received this in the mail! I knew I would love it from the start. I got it within a week and as soon as I picked it up from my mailbox, it went onto my car. No hesitations. Only $5.95, too!
Other items I ordered but have not received yet!
-Monogram Pullover & WindBreaker. Currently on their way but I luckily was able to save a few bucks here and there by not buying from Marley Lilly. There is nothing wrong with their products, but being on a budget makes it harder to buy from them!
What are your favorite monogram items?
Look out for a DIY post on friday!
