Make sure you check out my blog biff Lauren's take on our super fab 24 hour blog date in DC. I keep rereading it because I would love anything to go back to those two days. It made my summer!

Where do I begin? Maybe at the part that B called in sick to work (shhh) to come with me? Or maybe that he brought me chocolate covered gummy bears FOR BREAKFAST (which is my guilty pleasure)? Ok, that sounds about right. An early morning filled with excitement in the air. I was so excited. More excited than you've probably ever been. Not even kidding....After a train ride and running through the city we made it to 8th and 51st street. Can I get an Amen? Fab, thanks!

So I fangirl-ed. Hard. First off, before she got there I realized I was the oldest one there (besides parents). A girl who won a title in CT was there, a little girl who was with her rents, and two middle school girls who were somehow related to Miss USA (not too sure). But all I was thinking was How do they have twitters? They're like five....*I won this free trip through a twitter contest!!!!!* I of course put on my Alyssa Campanella phone case so people would realize how obsessed I am with pageants. In addition to drinking sbucks, I was off the walls bouncing. B wanted to punch me in the face multiple times, I'm sure. I was screaming/crying/singing/rambling. Maybe everyone wanted to ductape my mouth shut now that I think about it. I invited my pageant friend, Sam, along too and I was freaking out she wouldn't make it in time. SORRY TRYING TO NOT BORE YOU....Overall I was upset because noone was as excited as I was to be there. I saw Miss USA, Erin Brady, and cried. I get it I AM PATHETIC. I was so so so happy though. Since it's been a dream to meet a Miss USA. I introduced myself to her and she was like "Yeah I've seen your tweets before" and I showed her my Alyssa phone case. She laughed. Scooooooore!
We were allowed to ask her questions and noone did but me. But I was lovin' every second of it. However, I was disappointed because 1. The tour was only 50 minutes when they said it would be an hour and a half and 2. They promised us pics and autographs and they only gave us one picture and they pushed her right out of there, and 3. the tour was lame. we didn't get to see much!!! I was upset but it was definitely a once in a life time experience for me. Also, even B can say he's met Miss USA. He is a trooper for coming with me and making my day the best it could be. I didn't want anyone else by my side that day (because he understands my craziness more than anyone ever) and I'm so happy with how it turned out!
