Once you start a blog, you never really think about how much your life will change.
Do you remember the year before you started blogging and sat down and thought "Picture of my hand on a starbucks cup? Insta it? Yes. I will get SO many likes." I mean, I didn't until I got into the blog world...
Or what about when you go to visit a friend out of state and it just so happens two of your favorite bloggers live there and are willing to drive AN HOUR at night just to meet you? "You're kidding me, right?" Said my year ago self.
I'm not only so freaking thrilled that I love that people want to know about my life, but the fact that I've made best friends from the damn internet. It's a crazy crazy thought. And also most people who I tell I have internet friends to just think I'mmmmmm crazy crazy.
Why blog friends are THE best friends:
They know you pretty much inside and out. They read about your every emotion, live vicariously through your first date with a new guy, and even are by your side (virtually, obv) when you need a shoulder to lean on. They not only flood your post you were iffy about but your phone inbox goes haywire to the point you wouldn't mind throwing it on the floor. Except you wouldn't because your friends are encouraging the shit out of you for doing you.
I text my blog friends more than I text my real life friends. It's true.
Great social media buds. I mean, let's be real. Favorite one anothers tweets/instagrams/and even send great drunk snaps to each other. #LetsBeReal. I know you do it.
Long lasting friendships. Why? Because all bullshit aside, they like you for who you really are. Ya know since you post deep shit on your blog (sometimes). Stuff that you just wouldn't always go ahead first instinct and blurt out to your friends. You also rarely see each other (or never have met before) so it's much easier to get along. And then once you do meet it's the WEIRDEST feeling ever because you could have sworn you've met before. Since you're talking as if you've been best friends since diapers. Heck, Rachael even told me I'd be in her wedding.....Oh drunk decisions of hers....
They support your fuck ups to your great accomplishments. Heartbreak to giveaway (hint hint this week hint hint)....they are more helpful than I could ever ask for.
They make double dating SO exciting. Remember when I met my first bloggie friend, Lauren and we decided to drag along our beaus. We told them we were meeting an internet friend and I don't think either of them were too safely reassured by us crazy ladies who were emailing back and forth. Even though ex-ypoo is a joke, I still look back on those two days as some great ones. I met one of my best friends and support systems, duh. Also, the cutest AND SWEETEST couple ever. Hi Zach!
They make long distance worth it. #Lesbihonest.
They just get it. They too once had the idea to word vomit their lives away on the internet, and look where it brought them. To you. Le duh. *Collective Awwwww here*
So here's to my blog friends, who have been with me from either day one to just a few weeks ago. I love all of your crazy texts, snapchats, and tweets, and I don't think I could be anymore thankful to have you all in my life.
And to those who want to be my real life blog friend, you know where to find me :-)

Awkfest 2k13
Who runs the blog world? Erin, I suppose is the answer to both. Not only is she my favorite person to sponsor but THE FIRST blog I've ever followed (way back when). Speaking of way back when, thanks to this beautiful rockstar of a lady, I decided to follow in her footsteps and tell you all about the big 2k13 for me. Too much has happened in just 12 months, yet it seems like it was centuries ago. I'm talking like the days of Salem Witch Trials stuff.
January: I made my first EVER blog post. I decided to start blogging because I was bored with too much time on my hands during winter break, and my boyfo at the time was M.I.A in college sports land. I blogged only 4 times (which is hilarious because thats what I do AND MORE in a week) during the month of January and thankfully things that are still relevant in my life (i.e Carrie Diaries/Mindy Kaling/Finding my happiness) In real life, I got to see old friends and be a bum. And brought in the New Year with bofo at the time and his posse. Cool shit, I know.
February: Celebrated my first Valentines day in a relationship. I was so excited, I basically craft-vommed everywhere. I loved my fun gifts and celebrating with the guy I thought was forever mine (What is this, Taylor Swift sadness takeover?) and enjoyed hibernated from the cold weather. Sandy Cheeks style. I also went through formal sorority recruitment to find out, that wasn't the life for me. Oh and I also drank too much beer out of frat kegs. Basically, February was madness. The end.
March: Warmer weather, Track formal, and the first I love you. I get this post isn't about my past relationship, but it made up 80% of my 2013. (read: Can you tell why I'm ready for 2014 to blow my mind!?) I also was ready for a change, and turned my good ole head of hair back to brunette. At this point, I decided I wasn't happy with my college decision and wanted to look into transferring. #WHYRACHELWHY. In March, I decided to buy Blog Inc and dive head first into blogging. YAY.
April: After talking to my parents about a much needed trip away from real life, I was off to Michigan to visit an old friend. I was so excited to go yet nothing more exciting than trips for food really happened. The struggle was real. A week later (what was school?) I was off to Boston for my cousins BEAUTIFUL wedding (+ got to see my best friend, too!)
May: Bye bye school, hello full time blogging. I started blog designing, DIYing, and preparing to shake it for my man Luke ;) I also ate a ton of peanut butter ice cream, watched/started my relationship with netflix, and enjoyed the first of my summer at the beach. I also decided then that I would be changing schools in the fall.
June: I loved June at the time, but looking back I could have done without. I became a normal (whatever that means) at blogging which was probably the best part of it all. I celebrated my one year at the Phillies game (in beautiful weather), as well as jammed my petite heart out to Lukey-poo until my voice was no more. A few weeks later I was back at it again, except this time, singing my drunken heart out to every Dave Matthews Band song possible with a great group of people by my side.
July: If I just started with Segway would that suffice? I rode a segway for a three day job, I met my blog bestie, Lauren and fell in love instantly. I traveled to DC to double date the shit out of it afor the night with Lauren +beaus. I had the time of my life in just a quick span of 24 hours, and met someone I know will be in my life for awhile! Did I mention I took ten giant grandpa steps in the right direction and changed my blog name to Sunshine and Sinatra then? Crazy stuff, I can't even.
August: Best yet worst month. Only way to describe it.
Bests because...birthday celebrations, I met Miss USA and died like ten times and went to Miss Universe land every time, I celebrated my 100th post, went to school, made the best chocolate covered gummy bears in existence, and teamed up with Kensie Clothing to try out my first giveaway on le blog!
Worst because...BREAKUPS. Breakups suck. We don't even need to touch on this stupid waste of my life besides the fact I was a dramatic little girl about it and decided to post this. A post that is outrageous yet one of my posts with the most comments in ever.
September: Started school and loved every second *It's going to be easy she thought. Try it they said, it will be fun* NO YOU LIED. I had my first *outing* with a dude as a single girl. Vomskis to the max. I also decided to download the tind. We all know it goes downhill from here...
October: Celebrated the celebration out of pageant weekend. #NotSorry. As well as tried out the whole "meeting guys from tinder in real life" situation...which soon turned into a problem.
November: Probably my favorite month of all 2k13 months there are (That would be 12...ding ding ding...we have a winnter!). I went to Canada (Hiya, Noah!) and was as legal as us human species can be. I got to play with the slot machines that are surrounded by grandmas who don't do much else with their lives as well as order beers on beers with meals. Solid. Before Canada, I was able to meet my soon-to-be/now other half, Rachael! Then two weeks later it was off to florida to enjoy the warm weather stand in weather that felt like I was just at home anyway. Did I mention I met my future boyfriend? AND he kissed me on the cheek?
December: Here we are. I can't believe a year has gone by because it honestly feels as if I've been stuck in this year since 'Nam and before. Currently loving: Beyonce's new album, trying to learn how to save money, and going on some dates with cute guys.

Blog & The City.
“Are we simply romantically challenged, or are we sluts?” -Sex and the City.
You know find yourself at home between the hours of 1 PM and 4 PM and you turn on E! because, face it, you love your sex and the city. Is it Samantha's slutty antics that make you spit out your cup ofwine coffee? Or Carrie's quotes that make you want to log on to your tumblr (although you haven't since freshman year of college) and post these quotes all around your room? How about Miranda just being Miranda; always working? You really can't forget Charlotte's cute little quirky-ness.
It's crazy because as much as I love this show, I look no further than my own phone for my real life Sex and the City sequal. Ya see, I want to introduce you to my blog besties. I can always wake up knowing one of us either did something completely outrageous that we totes support, or we did something stupid. Or I sent a good amount of drunk texts that don't make sense and they think I'm a loon-face. One day we decided who was who from the show, and it honestly made the most sense. Ever.
Introducing the new and improved SATC betches. Watch out, Earth.
I mean, its pretty obvious if you've read my blog that I am Samantha Jones.
Besides her crazy obsession with duders. Shes a fierce PR betch (which I plan on being), and we dress the exact same (i.e le adventurous) We are both completely blunt when it comes to chatting with our biffcicles about our guy adventures. I even am not ashamed sharing it with you guys. (Ya know, I'm the 2013 version of Samantha...stuck on tinder...) When it comes to running into an ex-hook up, or making sure we 'politely' turn down a guy we're too good for, we get the damn job done.I'm the one in the group texts that very guy crazy. Actually we all are. I'm just the one that's a drunk mess saying guys guess what happened to me last night. I've read/noticed this sassy one is always a fan of change (um hello, she changes guys like she changes underwear...), and always trying to live life to the 'yolo-est' and doing whatever will make her happy. Which is something I'm truly after. She also always encourages drinking after any type of advice or situation at hand. Which I feel like I'm the one in the group that is the voice of that, but I mean, obviously we're all in agreement to it.
Fal is the good ole Carrie B. Fal starts off her blog with people finding the quote "Life is about finding happiness". HELLO. Is that like not something Carrie would blog about in her cute little apartment. Also she has a stunning fashion sense that I admire (because half the time I dress in basic boring clothing), and she even did her own make up vlog. Betch be making moves. Also Fal loves blogging inspiring shit, like Carrie did with her writing columns. Hello soon to be super star! She's easy to fall in love with (I mean look at her dang it), yet she hasn't found her Mr. Right yet. But incase he's reading this, here's what you should know. She's probably the most sane of us all (no offense rach/meliss haha), and has her head on the ground when she needs to be mostly realistic when it comes to life. But like Carrie, she can be the life of the party with her picture messages of what she's currently drinking/doing.
Homegirl (as she is quoteably known for) can tell it like it is. Always.
Miranda - Melissa. Obviously sounds too similar. Between her cynical (example 2)personality and closely similar fashion sense. And is more serious about getting her nerdy-ness on (than samantha..aka me). And by Nerdy-ness I mean Harry Potter. I'm almost positive Miranda would have loved nothing more than to spend a night in with Steve seeing who was in the Chamber of Secrets. Or whatever happens. See I don't evenremember know. She takes pride in her single life and don't need no man. I mean, they suck so I understand.
You cannot forget the Charlotte to my Samantha; Rachael. The sweetest and calmest sass-pot of us all. But let it be known, if you mess with her. You will get the rath. So you simply, do not. Like Char, she doesn't like being alone (obv me neither) and wont stop until she finds the most perfect guy to sweep her off her cute pair of boots accompanied by her new flashy yet classy purse and be in a happily ever after story book. Feels you, though. She relies on her partners in crime to get her through life, and she believes you need a great group of friends to always have your back. Have I mentioned she is type A (to an extent) and loves being organized/on top of her isn? Do you see why we found our spirit animals now?
So now you know what you didn't know. What's that you ask? Well, the fact that you know almost real life sex and the city people is kind of a big deal, so we'll go with that.
Now go see what these freaks are all about.
Much love.
