I've learned the hard way.

Go enjoy your friday afternoon doing whatever makes YOU happy. You don't need to please anyone but yourself, always remember that!

You can't tell me you haven't been dreaming of your ideal wedding since first discovering what a wedding was and telling your first crush/boyfriend what it would include. If your still in the phase before truly entering adult world, I recommend keeping your 'wedding wishlist' board on pinterest on private so you don't scare anyone off!

DIY simple picture frame

Hands down, I love love love crafting. It's so relaxing to just paint or draw, even if the artistic level is subpar.. I was feeling crafty on a long drive, explained in fridays post, so I thought I'd make the boyf a little surprise gift to receive in the mail. Granted its more so for my pleasure to see when I visit than his, but bottom line I think it's cute!

I picked up a simple less than 5 dollar 4x6 wooden frame, so I could decorate! I decided to paint in black and I bought letters because I was debating using them or risking my shaky handwriting...Read on to see what I ended up doing!

(materials used: Wooden 4x6 frame | bought at local A.C Moore |, Paintbrushes, lettering, basic paint, modge podge and medium matte (I had from projects before, but it came it handy...also bought at local Michaels Craft Store), and your desired picture printed). I was shocked to see how fast it dried so I was able to finish this project in less than 24 hours!

Once black paint was dry, I added some red details! (heart, writing, etc)

I also used both medium matte and mod podge just to see what would happen and I loved the results! It gave it a clean and smooth finish!

                                           

I also decided to just put the writing on the back because as I've stated before I am such a simple person when it comes to designs of all sorts........Its such a simple craft to do and regardless of the outcome, its always the thought that matters (right?..)

FridayFindings

happy friday everyone! After reading Blog, Inc, I am fully inspired to get kick it into gear with my blog! This week, my spring break, I spent a lot of time revamping, reading, and searching other blogs for inspiration.

I decided I am going to put posts out monday, wednesday and friday, unless stated otherwise! As most of you know, being a college student isn't easy, so I need to find time for myself!

Every friday I am going to partake in a post called 'FridayFindings'. I am going to tell you a bit about my week, exciting or not, (...I'll aim for exciting though) and show it to you through my weekly instagrams and picture's I've snapped on my iPhone (read: I sadly still have a iphone4...damn you upgrades)

! ..Here's to week one!

I took this picture last week right after I blow dried my hair since I dyed it earlier that night. It is real proof I am no longer anywhere near the blonde color spectrum! On another note, I am obsessed with Kate Spade phone cases, and I just couldn't resist this one! I got it for super cheap (around 10 dollars) AND on Amazon, the best website ever! I also have the Airmail phone case, too!

This week was filled with a ton of SO not spring break weather aka snow. I mean come on mother nature, I am a warm weather baby!! There's nothing I love more than pairing a cute oversized crew neck (bought at a local thrift shop), with an infinity scarf from h&m (it's no longer sold online, but I bet you could find it in your local store!), and a basic pair of leggings! 

Monday night I was researching (read: stalking) Robin from The Sunshine Diary's blog and came across old posts about this book (I was so excited to pick it up!!!!) I learned a lot, and finished it in a matter of hours as I waited for my car's maintenance check up to be complete!

While rebranding DwnInLndn...I decided to doodle and came up with this funky yet typical of my handwriting design! 

I've had a weird fascination with puppies lately, or just small dogs. Her and I have never had the best of relationships, and I'm not too sure why...but I was excited that she sat still when I was trying to take pictures of her!

Lastly, I decided to stop at AC Moore while I was on a long drive home. Driving gives me über inspiration for anything because I just have time to myself to think (and belt out anything from Ignition remix to David Guetta's Titanium, like a complete loser in my car)! Here is a sneak peak of my DIY project I will be posting on here on monday! I love crafting! Make sure to check back!

Sunshine & inspiration

Thanks to the everlasting support of blog posts dating back to exactly a year ago, I was able to truly find my inspiration (and answers) to blogging. Shout out to The Sunshine Diary for being her self when it comes to blogging for I found what I want to happen when I blog! While searching I found a book on her blog that I decided to buy and now am in the process of reading. What's it about? First step to blogging of course! I learn best when I take notes and read so hopefully I will gain a lot from it!

The book is called Blog, Inc and you can get it anywhere a book is sold! (read: It is much cheeper on Amazon..) I'm so excited to get reading!

Happy 200!

I know that 200 page views is not a big deal to most, but being the small blog that I am, I am celebrating! I ran a blog previous to this and made a post about Alyssa Campanella (read: I am her number 1 fan) and she ended up sharing it with all of her followers, therefore my views instantly sky rocketed...which was awesome. Happy 200 views to me! With that, I will share some fun facts about myself.

My inspiration is a Jersey born pageant girl, Miss USA 2011, Alyssa Campanella

My best friend is my boyfriend...who I've turned into a pageant boyfriend!! (best thing ever)

I've had the opportunity to travel to the beautiful land of Israel twice, as well as explore the sad environment of Poland tracing the footsteps of the holocaust to remember that this must never happen again.

I love visiting different places, regardless of where, because it gives me a certain

thrill and happiness that I can't find anywhere else

For my whole life, I've wanted to be a legit 'blonde'. I never thought I would see the day that I would get tired of it...until about a month ago. I've tried to dye it back to my natural hair color but that is one everyone told me I could never get in a box, so now I'm dealing with some dark dark hair.

Favorite Fonts

Do you guys ever struggle to find the perfect fonts that fit really who you are? Not those all too typical 'Curlz MT' to 'Comic Sans' to 'Georgia' and my favorite 'Times New Roman'. I'm talking about the crazy designed ones! The ones we love to use for our blogs, to make letters/gift tags, and whatever else your heart desires!

But want to know the best part? These are all free.
