Oprah up in this palace (a giveaway)

If only I could be compared to Oprah...but then again a half plus one ton of things would be different about me. Probably the fact I'd be more generous, meeting celebrities on the regular, and having a voice that only angels gossip about. However, I figured I'd show up to the party TWO days in a row to give ya a lil sumin' sumin'. If you don't giveaway instagram worthy things, are you even giving something away? EXACTLY. You get me.  If they are instagram worthy, you then know they are probably some of my favorite things.

1. Nail polish (X2) Le duh. I'm sure you and your mom and aunt AND grandma included could spend hours in target/your local drug store just picking out what polish to get next (although you have a color WAY too similar). Que Sera!

2. Bon Weekend Tote. I think it doesn't get much better than a cute tote for all purposes alike. Beach, errands, gym. You name it, it's on its way there. Thanks to The Atelier Shop you can get your own (or like ten, for that matter) here.

3. Every blogger (and person) loves to instagram their food, si? Ok truly you can tell I love my instagram. However, if you win this bad boy you get a $20 giftcard to PANERA. Possibilities (and filters) are endless.

Entre! Entre! Entre! Contest ends July 9th at midnight.
Must live in U.S to enter.
Winners entries will be verified.

She's beauty and she's grace...she's....

Miss Selfie States! Go with me, here. When you give a blogger a giveaway, she'll go crazy. When you give a girl with an internship a project that her face is on the campaign of, she'll be buck wild ecstatic about it. So that's where you come in.
Do you see little Miss selfie pants up there? Familiar face, right? That is moi. I intern for the amazing www.thepageantguy.com where I work on projects, like these, as well as come up with ideas, promote, and have the time of my life.

If you could share this with your friends who are pageant stars to be, titleholders, or yourself, the future Miss insert title here. Get out of bed/stop drinking coffee (kidding - just multitask), put on some make up (if not, filters are fun thats what I do) and get to posting!

It would mean the woooorld to me if you could help spread the word so hopefully one day I can land my dream job!

And for a bit of embarrassment for myself...when my mom signed me up to compete in my first pageant and I had braces and NO clue of anything going on. Safe to say it changed my life for the better.

Pageant girl out.

Giveaway with The Atelier Blog

What bloggers do you look up to? A lot of us bloggers aspire to be future Oh Joy!'s, College Prepster's, or Design Darlings. For me? ...It's The Atelier that motivates me. Did I mention she is my big sister? Even if I didn't have the little sister syndrome, I'd probably be creeping extra hard on her artsy instagram's anyway. Watching everything she has done, just always makes me want to try to be more like her. After all, she's my role model. (Even if she did cut my hair with normal scissors when I was only a baby....)
The difference between us is that she actually can paint [like a boss]. She started her own line of stationary, and even has cool new surprises coming out of her shop soon (I mean of course I know all the secrets, but it's because I'm kind of a big deal blood).

The coolest thing about Melissa being an up and coming blogger/designer is that people I am friends with swoon over her products and I'm just like yep, she's my sister. One time I was scrolling through my instagram feed (of course I'm a blogger and follow fashionista bloggers on instagram), and stumbled across a regram of one of my sisters cards. It was my name. I had to take about three double takes before realizing that wasn't my sisters instagram post. So then I proceeded to obnoxiously comment that I was THE Rachel Danielle - a big deal, if I do say so myself.

Did I mention she got to attend NYFW and collaborate with Nicole Miller? Now you see why the admiration is real. Because I'm the best publicist for The Atelier blog, and because she is an awesome sister, she decided to help host a giveaway on Sunshine and Sinatra.

*What is it, the eager blogger says as she starts to plan her staged instagram for when she wins* A set of 8 Mae Print cards (shown below) from her latest collection 'inspired by Paris in the Spring' (We're also obviously sisters because we think a like and are dying to see Paris first hand one day).

rGd loves #TheSelfie (A giveaway)

Hey you. Because I'm comparable to the most interesting male in the world, here's what you might want to know about me...
+My style is preppy meets hipster (ya know, things you see on tumblr now a days...)
+Pizza lunchables are my absolute favorite thing in the world (#winning)
+Beyonce is pretty cool and I think her and I would have a great time cruising the west coast in a top down pink convertible
+I am a sucker for monogram anything. You name it, I probably have it monogrammed. Car decal, hat, clothing (x5), and jewelry out the wazoo.
Selfies are a must because sometimes having professional pictures is overrated. Mmmmkay?

The work behind Cardinal Gift Etsy shop is incredible. All the pieces are acrylic yet half of them (like this one), you really can't even tell. Unless you're crazy and inspect it under a microscope. I love pairing my Tortoise shell monogram necklace with higher necklines (I got the 16" one!) and think it's absolutely perfect. I've gotten compliments left and right, and I obviously couldn't have done it without the man the myth the legend behind Cardinal Gift. Like any other etsy shop, it was reliable, great customer service, and got exactly what I had hoped for.

Thanks to the hard work and awesome partnership I created with Cardinal Gift Etsy shop, we're able to present to you....your own tortoise shell monogram necklace with gold chain. Fo free. Even if you don't win, you are eligible for a discount (since you rock and read Sunshine and Sinatra)!
Make sure to type in the promo code 'SUNSHINEANDSINATRA'!!!

I'll let you soak that in for a minute. Yes, it's free. And all you have to do to be in a drawing to win is follow the steps below.  You must complete all entries with information asked of you. You have one week to enter, so get 'er done. Win for yourself, your gal pal who is monogram obsessed (send her my way), your mom, or even the special someone in your life with a really great monogram. I have the exact same monogram as my grandma, who recently just passed, so wearing my monogram daily is a reminder that she is always with me.

Blogaversary Giveaway!

I didn't promise you a puppy (because I'd take it before even considering figuring out how in the world I would ship it to you). Or a boyfriend (because clearly, I need one too..). However an amazing giveaway? I'd say that sounds pretty fair.

I also wanted to tell you weird facts about myself because I think all of us humans (I have aliens that read le blog ya know.....), love to talk about ourselves thinking people actually really create their whole day about learning about a rando they read on the interweb.

1. I've been told I have a strange vocabulary and are A+ in the making up words department. I had a phase where I would add "sauce" and "ski" to the end of words (i.e Lamesauce, Fabski). Kiddycup makes fun of me because I say "loon" and "icky". Yet I'm not a little blonde cute girl that you can pinch my cheeks as I tug on my mom's purse in the supermarket saying I want to go home. See, I'm really not 5.

2. Speaking of cheek bones, I think that is my best yet worse quality. I like them sometimes in some pictures. Yet the other times I find myself wanting to rip them off my face because I just look like a super polish teenager. I also don't have cheeks you and your grandma can squeeze. Blame the bones.

3. I've been wanting to write an about me post for months now, and now that I am writing it, I can't think of a single thing to tell you. So clearly, I need to come up with ways to remember these stupid facts. You'd think it would be easy. Since it's about me and all...

4. I want to live in a city when I'm older, but really who doesn't. It's where all the jobs and hot single 20 somethings hide out in. So obviously I am in. Hope I'm blogging still, going to be an interesting world/thing to blog about.

5.I love movies about the White House. My date with the presidents daughter? First kid? Yep, my all-time favorite two. I also saw White House down, but I don't do scary stuff. So it was rated somewhere below 7 on my I like you movie scale.

6. The feeling of being organized is the shit. Although my floor looks like Hurricane Sandy never left Jersey, if you look at my agenda book I got it all figured out.

7. I've moved a lot. And by moved I mean moved to three different towns all surrounding each other. Guess thats why I really can't stay in one place for so long...(i.e Universities)

8. I like being in a relationship. really, you say? Yea, I mean who doesn't is my true question. But I've always had a boyfriend. Like since dating was a thing. My first "crush" was second grade. My first official boyfriend (AIM type of relationship) was in the 4th grade. My first kiss was with my boyfriend in the 8th grade. I've had a boyfriend almost every year of my life since the 8th grade except my junior year of high school. I'm not what you're thinking. I just like the feeling of being able to spend endless amounts of money on a great person (at the time I thought that, at least) so I really don't hit up the local mall and spend endless amounts on pleather skirts I don't need. And probably won't end up wearing. It will stay in my closet for almost all of eternity. Sorry about it, too.

9. I don't have a certain style. One day I love looking really really preppy. But the day after that? I mean I could be found wearing a punk band I really don't know who they are except I liked the design on the shirt and it was four dollars. Looking back, I'm thankful that I went through my emo phase (no, pictures are not necessary) in middle school because it made me very diverse. Don't worry though -- my mom never let me get those weird haircuts or put bows in my hair constantly. I did, however, have bright pink pants courtesy of Hot Topic.

This is the best you're gonna get from me. Email for more blackmail, if interested. They areeeeee pretty hilarious. Also, these pictures are on my comp card (when I was with a talent agency *hair flip* for a whole matter of like a day)

10. My initials monogram means the world to me. I spent the past year loving on monogram everything and I really was never quite sure why I loveeeeeeeed showing off the good ole "rGd" on everything and anything. Even my car. Sadly, this past september I figured it out. My grandmother has the same initials as me, and had sadly passed. I always admired her art and her passion for life, even at an old age. Rock on, RDG. So if you want to get me monogram anything, I won't hesitate for a millisecond.

Now the good stuff. I present to you, my lovechild's greatest creation (exaggeration here):

If you like blog shit, because, you are clearly a blogger, hit up this giveaway.
+This giveaway will run for one week, ending on January 22nd.
+Must live in US/Canada to enter.

A+ for symbolism

You know how throughout your education you always had to pick out the symbolism from said books you were assigned to read yet you just sparknoted it anyway? Like that time you had to figure out why Hester Prynne is such a slut and wears an A on her chest. Why does she wear an A on her chest? To make her stand out because she is such a slore-bucket. Earmuffs Mom, sorry.

Last night, I had the greatest revelation that I wanted to expunge of everything about my ex-y poo.
Buried in between my thousands of tweets of KiddyCup and- Well damn, that's basically all I tweet about. I'm one of those girls..shit. But in the midst of all of the giggle shenans, I had the guts to do this.

See so here is real life symbolism for all you english lovin' people. Dried up flowers because clearly he is dried up out of my life. Dramatic but you know, he doesn't exist to me anymore (except he had the nerve to snap me the other night randomly. So rude). Throwing it out was too symbolic for my own freaking good. I sort of hesitated at first but is he in my life anymore? No. I then smirked and said my goodbyes, which is sort of the final one for me. All I have left to get rid of is his insignificant random-ass four foot teddy bear he got me for my birthday (it's like he knew he was breaking up with me so he could get me a pointless gift...oops). Oh and his clothes, which have now become nothing but t-shirts to sleep in. AND WHO IS GOING TO GIVE UP SLEEP SHIRTS? Not me, sorry.

What is he doing to me, damn. I need to get rid of these shirts. Note to self: Get rid of shirts, stat.

I now have filled my anthro mug (fave mug, if I may add) with my favorite necessity: sharpies to doodle with. As crazy as it sounds, being able to legitimately chuck fast pitch them into le garbage was the holy realization that I have moved on to bigger and better and nicer and sweeter and down right good things. You really do have to get through the bad to get to the reaaaaaally good.

the freakin weekend: Weekend Shenans (+GIVEAWAY)

Remember how I told you I was generally excited psyched for this weekend? Well, it was pretty awesome. Aside the 6 hours spent in a car on friday. (read: 3 to get home from school. an hour home. 3 hours driving to friends. yahoo)

After DEVOURING YUMMY CHIPOTLE...the night began. I will spare you my little "under 21 getting into a bar" fun details, but if it gave you any flashbacks to you being in college...ya know how it is ;)

Ya know how I told you one of my good friends and I look like twins? Well some random old guy (typical, I guess) came up to US asking if we were twins. We, being silly girls who looked younger than half the population at this bar, said yes. He then proceeded to ask us if our names were weird twin names like Sarah and Sar-ah. LITERALLY WHAT TWINS DO YOU KNOW, DUDE? Regardless, them fireball shots got me feelin' like Whit.

Also, reuniting with a friend you haven't seen in a year+? So great. She still had me cracking up always and it was SO fun to talk about memories from our trip/ life in high school. Best part? We had identical matching black peplum shirts packed and we didn't even plan it. #ItslikeESPNorSomething...
Saturday, despite the icky weather, we headed to Baltimore Inner-harbor. I was freakin' out that it was so close. I love adventuring. And I love the feeling of being on vacay. Then again, who doesn't? Right.
Can we also talk about how Urban was having a 50% EVERYTHING sale? I bought a cute pair of shorts for ONLY 10 doll-hairs. Seriously, what is life!
Too bad friday night drinks on drinks on drinks got the best of us and caused us to do nothing but bake cookies on saturday night. I am beyond grateful for friends I can go forever without seeing and act as if a day hasn't gone by.

Coolest part of my weekend? Ya know you are a blogger when you see this...and freak out because you know someone with this blog title. Shout out to Kelli!

Work...cover girl...work it girl (give it a twirl!) A GIVEAWAY

Lizzie McGuire here reporting on the trendy fashions of 2013.
Only kidding about Lizzie. Also the dress.

Shout out to Kensie Clothing Line for being awesome and hooking me up with some bling and fashion and no igloo dresses. Good thing we left those in the past with Lizzie in '03. (HOW WAS THAT 10 YEARS AGO?!) I still love this movie!

Anyway, I am in no way a trendy fashion blogger, although I like to think I am trendy in real life. That is when I want to dress up. I have class? Gym shorts and a t-shirt for me! When I'm feeling trendy (weekends), I go all out! I was so excited to review some fun products from Kensie that I was probably the most annoying review-ee to deal with. I was like screaming at my computer out of happiness. Yeaaaaaaaaaa totally not kidding! I love fun things to add to my outfit collection! Thank you so much again, guys!

Not only was I able to recieve these trendy-fab slippers that I've been wearing around my dorm and getting so many compliments (they were right!)......
...but I got an awesome bracelet (that matched my watch) to boot!
Clearly I am no fashion blogger. Sorry ya'll.
I'm usually not one for big bangle bracelets, but it worked out in so many ways!
-Trendy as anything
-I like the style (simple, but not too simple where people won't compliment)
-Matched my watch perf!
-Easy to slip on and off, but stays on my teeny-tiny wrist at all times!
Baby bangle also got to try some delish chocolate ice cream with me downtown!

I even tried a fashionista pic but I was in between not laughing and squinting from the sun. Wow I sure am pretty. A+ in the fashion bloggy dept, correct?!

So they are not only a accessory company but they sell some cute dresses! Have a formal coming up, anyone?! Check them out at your local dept store (Macy's, Nordstrom, Dillards, and more!)
Ok. On Macy's website alone there are 52 dresses to choose from - from classy to casual!

So if I wasn't broke I'd be making my way to my local Macy's (15 minutes away...I googled it! Sup PA malls) and checking out this dress for shits and gigs because it is gorgeous, this dress for a formal (when I'm finally in a sorority), this cute white one for when I am inducted into said sorority, and this outfit because heck who doesn't like to look trendy???????????? Basically they get an A+ in my books. I even see some striped shirts that I must stay away from. (My strange addiction: striped shirts. Anyone feel the same way?)

So here's the deal, instead of being an outfit repeater like Lizzie at graduation.....
...eeek we don't want that!

YOU can enter the give away, hosted by Kensie Clothing and I, to win an item of your choice from their site!

Details:
-You must follow every link below, and check out their fab selection of items!
-The winner will be announced on September 9th, and the contest will close at September 8th at 11:59 PM.
-If you were chosen as the lucky lady, I will be sending you an email which then you will find the free item of your choice and go crazy with it! Hooray free things! Come on you know you love them..you are a blogger (most likely!)
ENJOY!

Pictures speak louder than words +GIVEAWAY

School has been nothing short of super fab. I am so happy I made the right choice in transferring to a school that I can nowwwww call home!
I will update ya'll on life once I run on home this weekend (2 hour drive each way.ick.) and will get my camera cord.
I went searching earlier and frantically ripped apart my room and I think my mom just confirmed it was sitting on my desk at home.....

I got something to share. I told all my friends in my orientation group that I have a blog, and I'm pretty sure they all think it's really awesome since I told them I get free things from it.
Hiiiii if you are reading this!!!!!!! I love love love friends. woo!

Since I am camera cord-less, I will show ya pictures (cue the iphone picys) and captions to go along so you can see what I've been up to.

P.S blogging and having a life is super harder than I thought....

-Saturday orientation was awesome and took us on a tour of downtown Lancaster, PA. Seriously one the main reasons why I transferred here! It is such a cute little town and the scenic drive to the Lanc is one I wouldn't ever replace!

Yummy chocolate ice cream with some Kensie clothing accessories! (Give away coming up next week! Ya besta be entering!)

They took us to the Amish markets as well (we all know I love amish stalking). I can't wait for a fun fall day to check it out with some friends!

Couldn't resist snappin' a pic of this door! My group (TWEEEENTYFIVEEEEE) thought I was crazy when asking for selfies to be taken infront of the door until........

I told them I blog!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, its a big deal. You know I don't tell people about it. Like ever.
Everyone was so supportive about it though and I told them to come get in a picture for their "five mins of fame" on my blog!

Ultimately, we roll deep and we all love each other. I got lucky with the greatest group ever!

I love window shopping yes I do I love window shopping how about you?
It works better when you know you are a college kid....

Being trendy and artsy. Ya know the drill!

I LOVE this doorway. I'm not sure what it was for but we passed it and I was like oh hey obviously photo opportunity here. Group 25 had fun with it! They even pointed out (sarcastically and not sarcastically) things to take pictures of!

Dorm pics and life are soon to come!
