Flashback friday, and some party peeps.

Fridays after 3PM are meant to be lazy. For me, all fridays are lazy considering I have one class. That starts at eleven. I know, I live such a life, aren't you jelly? Shouldn't be. So like me, and since my blog is a reflection of me, we're getting all lazy around here.
Kidding, I really don't mean lazy. I mean like cozy. Like let's put on sweatpants, watch netflix, and pin our hearts out. Valentines day is coming up, after all. Yes, the rumors are true I even have a pinterest board for my imaginary boyfriend.

Now that I've rambled. I'd like to get on all warm and fuzzy with ya and share some fun things. And by fun things I mean fun people. And by fun people.......well I mean my blog friends that are also real life friends. So, yes, I guess you could say my real life[blog] friends know me better than most of my friends I call "my friends".
Meet Cat. The Pippi to my Lola [our weirdest inside joke...and one of the few I remember]. Cat has been my longest best friend, starting in the good ole fifth grade. I am not exaggerating when I say we used to spend every weekend together. She also is to blame for my wanna be punk/emo phase, so thanks girl. She has always had a sarcastic tone and carefree attitude, both which I've admired ALWAYS. She just started blogging and if you are looking for a good "I totally feel you but I don't ever have the guts to post that on my blog" thing, then check her out. SHE ALSO HAS THE CUTEST PUPPY EVER SO WHAT MORE CONVINCING IS NEEDED? yea, not sure either.
Chloe and I met through mutual friends my sophomore (?) year of high school. I was visiting friends in Michigan (where she lives!) and my friends I came with were in a huge fight. Chloe and I instantly bonded because everyone was just full of immaturity back then and it's never been the same since! Need a girl to make you laugh? Or what about learning about a billion and ten new languages? Or beauty product reviews? Honestly, just someone to gossip with? Chloe's ya girl.
Probably best I don't even begin to get started on why I love Rachael so much. Well for starters *shit shit shit* she keeps me sane, she's also the reason why I spell my own name with an A in it. And I never did that in all of my life. Why should you read her blog? She's going on the big t-h-r-e-e years of blogging [and her first post is hilarious. I just saw it myself yesterday!..] and I suggested we go somewhere cool for it. Ya know why not celebrate her accomplishments by getting rid of my savings account. Also half of you already sponsor her anyway, so you 100% know why I have so much love for this girl. Back me up!
Say hola to Jenny! Jenny and I met, through friends, but of course, we became friends. We are also "sisters". Like not even sorority sisters (or real life, obviously), but we met through our high school youth group. We ended up going to a two week sleep away camp together but were never good friends until afterwords. If you love cooking and DIY's, check her fabulous self out. We also had a max brenner date in the city and it was amaze.

Hopefully you've found new people to love stalk, because let's be real: when we find a blogger we love, we stalk them on all social media STAT. If you go over to say hello, make sure to say I sent you.
Since I'm KOABD and all.
Kind of a big deal, ya know.

P.S make sure to wear red and instagram/tweet the picture with the hashtag #goRed for the National Heart Disease Awareness day! You can find me sporting some red here and here.

New beginnings while giving back

Life has just been on a happy kick. Maybe because I'm done learning for a month and a half, and my only worries the past few days have been to make sure I check in on the blog world every once in a while. Besides that I've been seeing friends, family, and staying in bed with my one true love, netflix.

Today is where things get a whole lotta different. Well, at least I hope not drastically. Don't miss me too much. But if you do, feel free to write and/or send gifts to my home address.
My dad doesn't understand why everyday there is a new package with my name on it. Keep 'em comin.

I start my first retail job in about 45 minutes. *gulp*. I've never done retail before. Previous jobs have just been chasing and reprimanding kids to listen to me although I look their size and height. I'm also not allowed to wear jeans, only nice outfits. It's winter. I don't do "nice". So with that, here's to more instagrams of my cute stylish outfits.

And less time dedicated to blogging. I don't have a set schedule since it's a month long break before school starts and all I have to worry about is working and blogging. If I lack posts, just remember to stalk the crap out of me on my twitter. I'll be sure to report new tinder dudes (hopefully we can soon say bye bye to this...we'll see....), new shopping finds, and how much I love my blog friends.

In addition to all of this goodie goodness, I *fingers crossed* got a co-'advisor' position for my high school youth group, since I'll be home all next semester. A thing to know about me is that when I was going through the lows of my roller coaster ride of high school, I always had my youth group to fall back on. I drove all my anger and frustration into passion and hard word for my positions on board to inspire others. At the end of my time in my youth group, aka near graduation, I was ready to peace the eff out. But being an alumnus and looking back, I wish I was still involved.

I couldn't be more thrilled to help give back to what has shaped me into the person I am today. 100 freakin percent. Since my freshman year, I've been dying to help staff like my blog friend (AND REAL LIFE FRIEND), Jenny has.

There is nothing better than the feeling of knowing you are able to give back.

In the words of a sixth grader on instant messenger: "XO BBL. LYLAS TEXT THE CELLI <3".

Blog & The City.

“Are we simply romantically challenged, or are we sluts?” -Sex and the City.

You know find yourself at home between the hours of 1 PM and 4 PM and you turn on E! because, face it, you love your sex and the city. Is it Samantha's slutty antics that make you spit out your cup of wine coffee? Or Carrie's quotes that make you want to log on to your tumblr (although you haven't since freshman year of college) and post these quotes all around your room? How about Miranda just being Miranda; always working? You really can't forget Charlotte's cute little quirky-ness.

It's crazy because as much as I love this show, I look no further than my own phone for my real life Sex and the City sequal.  Ya see, I want to introduce you to my blog besties. I can always wake up knowing one of us either did something completely outrageous that we totes support, or we did something stupid. Or I sent a good amount of drunk texts that don't make sense and they think I'm a loon-face. One day we decided who was who from the show, and it honestly made the most sense. Ever.

Introducing the new and improved SATC betches. Watch out, Earth.

I mean, its pretty obvious if you've read my blog that I am Samantha Jones.
Besides her crazy obsession with duders. Shes a fierce PR betch (which I plan on being), and we dress the exact same (i.e le adventurous) We are both completely blunt when it comes to chatting with our biffcicles about our guy adventures. I even am not ashamed sharing it with you guys. (Ya know, I'm the 2013 version of Samantha...stuck on tinder...) When it comes to running into an ex-hook up, or making sure we 'politely' turn down a guy we're too good for, we get the damn job done. I'm the one in the group texts that very guy crazy. Actually we all are.  I'm just the one that's a drunk mess saying guys guess what happened to me last night. I've read/noticed this sassy one is always a fan of change (um hello, she changes guys like she changes underwear...), and always trying to live life to the 'yolo-est' and doing whatever will make her happy. Which is something I'm truly after. She also always encourages drinking after any type of advice or situation at hand. Which I feel like I'm the one in the group that is the voice of that, but I mean, obviously we're all in agreement to it.

Fal is the good ole Carrie B. Fal starts off her blog with people finding the quote "Life is about finding happiness". HELLO. Is that like not something Carrie would blog about in her cute little apartment. Also she has a stunning fashion sense that I admire (because half the time I dress in basic boring clothing), and she even did her own make up vlog. Betch be making moves. Also Fal loves blogging inspiring shit, like Carrie did with her writing columns. Hello soon to be super star! She's easy to fall in love with (I mean look at her dang it), yet she hasn't found her Mr. Right yet. But incase he's reading this, here's what you should know. She's probably the most sane of us all (no offense rach/meliss haha), and has her head on the ground when she needs to be mostly realistic when it comes to life. But like Carrie, she can be the life of the party with her picture messages of what she's currently drinking/doing.
Homegirl (as she is quoteably known for) can tell it like it is. Always.

Miranda - Melissa. Obviously sounds too similar. Between her cynical (example 2)personality and closely similar fashion sense. And is more serious about getting her nerdy-ness on (than samantha..aka me). And by Nerdy-ness I mean Harry Potter. I'm almost positive Miranda would have loved nothing more than to spend a night in with Steve seeing who was in the Chamber of Secrets. Or whatever happens. See I don't even remember know. She takes pride in her single life and don't need no man. I mean, they suck so I understand.

You cannot forget the Charlotte to my Samantha; Rachael. The sweetest and calmest sass-pot of us all. But let it be known, if you mess with her. You will get the rath. So you simply, do not. Like Char, she doesn't like being alone (obv me neither) and wont stop until she finds the most perfect guy to sweep her off her cute pair of boots accompanied by her new flashy yet classy purse and be in a happily ever after story book. Feels you, though. She relies on her partners in crime to get her through life, and she believes you need a great group of friends to always have your back. Have I mentioned she is type A (to an extent) and loves being organized/on top of her isn? Do you see why we found our spirit animals now?

So now you know what you didn't know. What's that you ask? Well, the fact that you know almost real life sex and the city people is kind of a big deal, so we'll go with that.
Now go see what these freaks are all about.
Much love.

November, I want you

It's what you think. I've been in love with november for quite a while. Errrrr okay so like two months but basically I'm in love. It's real and true, I swear.

Whyyyyyyyyyy should november be so good to me? I swear we are a match made in heaven for the first time. Normally I loathe any month after it starts getting under 60 degrees (read: October), and I hibernate until flowers are rebirthed and I find my first spider to scream at. Ahhhhh, spring. Think of me as Sandy from spongebob in her bubble of a house (as if that ever made sense though...). Also I hate spongebob, but this year I finally am excited for fall.

I want to experience the whole she-bang. Non-hibernation, livin' life, and all. NYC before the snow, crankin' up those christmas tunes until I finally find new music, black friday JK going to orlando, and choose not to sit inside falling asleep at the same hours of newborn babies and live a little.

November? You're lookin' pretty good.

In just a week from Thursday, I will be leavin' on a jet plane, and entering the land of the O-H-I-O. Flight lands at 10PM, then what? You asked for it. I AM MEETING ASHLEIGH AND RACHEL. They are driving an hour to meet me for a night. It just goes to show you that sometimes you have a greater connection with blog-land friends than friends you've known for a while. Heck, friends I've had since 'nam wouldn't drive an hour to visit me at my college or if they were for whatever reason near me. Blogger, you've been great in my life.

Granted, I can only see them for so long. But I think we are all excited to discuss blogging, endless picture sesh, and anything else a blog date includes. Food? Let's hope food. Or wine. Or basically anything that you find on a #ThirstyThurs. 'Nuff said. See ya soon, gal pals (Insert endless smileys and winky faces here).

Friday the 8th comes and boom. Off to Canada I go for one of my best guy friends frat formal. Way to excited considering I haven't seen him since April 2012. Note: He is paying for everything. I must admit, I'm a lucky one....No phone, huh? Off the charts/record type thing. No insta's, no tweets about how I love canada and wearing reveling clothing and feeling legal and ready to parrrrtay. Let's do this.

So like, what's school?
A few weeks later I am off to my annual thanksgiving trip to Universal with the fam. We go almost every year, except I didn't last year, and it stunk. We have a ritual where we always check out Margaritaville and get the mile high stomach ache giver nachos. Nothing makes me happier, except when I'm by the bathroom for the rest of the night....There have been happier times.
back when I was a fetus aka three years ago

With last year aside, November is a good friend. I met my best friend two November's ago, and I wouldn't change a thing.

Without further adieu (or however the eff you spell/pronounce it...)....thanksgiving stuffing, warm weather, drinking legally, blogger meet ups, and nearing the end of the semester, November, are you ready to be mine?

Xo,
Yours truly.

the freakin weekend: Weekend Shenans (+GIVEAWAY)

Remember how I told you I was generally excited psyched for this weekend? Well, it was pretty awesome. Aside the 6 hours spent in a car on friday. (read: 3 to get home from school. an hour home. 3 hours driving to friends. yahoo)

After DEVOURING YUMMY CHIPOTLE...the night began. I will spare you my little "under 21 getting into a bar" fun details, but if it gave you any flashbacks to you being in college...ya know how it is ;)

Ya know how I told you one of my good friends and I look like twins? Well some random old guy (typical, I guess) came up to US asking if we were twins. We, being silly girls who looked younger than half the population at this bar, said yes. He then proceeded to ask us if our names were weird twin names like Sarah and Sar-ah. LITERALLY WHAT TWINS DO YOU KNOW, DUDE? Regardless, them fireball shots got me feelin' like Whit.

Also, reuniting with a friend you haven't seen in a year+? So great. She still had me cracking up always and it was SO fun to talk about memories from our trip/ life in high school. Best part? We had identical matching black peplum shirts packed and we didn't even plan it. #ItslikeESPNorSomething...
Saturday, despite the icky weather, we headed to Baltimore Inner-harbor. I was freakin' out that it was so close. I love adventuring. And I love the feeling of being on vacay. Then again, who doesn't? Right.
Can we also talk about how Urban was having a 50% EVERYTHING sale? I bought a cute pair of shorts for ONLY 10 doll-hairs. Seriously, what is life!
Too bad friday night drinks on drinks on drinks got the best of us and caused us to do nothing but bake cookies on saturday night. I am beyond grateful for friends I can go forever without seeing and act as if a day hasn't gone by.

Coolest part of my weekend? Ya know you are a blogger when you see this...and freak out because you know someone with this blog title. Shout out to Kelli!

Happiest I've been in months

Okay so maybe I'm just really happy because I got great news tonight, and drank some wine, or just had a great night with friends and decided to "buzz"-ily, write this post at 1AM. Leggo.

You know how I told you I was so stressed? Now that I made my life simple, I am stress free.
I seriously have too much time to focus on netflix, but I mean, I won't complain too much.

Last weekend I went home, and took a trip to my old school. My 2 hour trip turned into about 3 and a half. SO many people to catch up with, but that day I knew I was generically happy. My baby (car), actually got it's second paid for car wash for his two year old birthday. Yep, I celebrated.

I also enjoyed the little things in life this week:

The sunsets, the long drives to think, the new clothes, the arts, my new fave watch from target, and friendships.

I also just realized I posted the guitar picture twice. But hey, it was a great start to the week so guitars, keep doing you. Thanks for bringing excitement to my monday nights of netflix.

I even had a chance to throw on a scrunchie (well, because yolo) and a big sweat shirt. I called it my "am I 5 years old or a new character on Saved by the Bell" look. I'm fine with the second one as long as we can find me my own A.C slater. Yum. #ManCrushMonday

Last night? Rain obvi only calls for wine and netflix. FINALLY catching up on Desperate Housewives about 5 years later. #TeamTomScavo. Later, my closest friends got done their events for the night and we all kicked back, relaxed, and quoted Mean Girls endlessly like it was our job. We even found a youtube vid with the greatest quotes. Four for you Glenn Coco. AND NONE FOR GRETCHEN WEINERS BYE.

I can't help it, I get excited when Mean Girls is brought up.

My awkward "I'm excited to be alive" face is pasted up on the far right for all y'all to judge see.

Today is my fall break and I am more excited than a child gets when they color outside the lines. Or when a dog see's another pretty dog. You know what I mean....

I get to see my friend from my one travel trip that I haven't seen since May 2012, as well as my "twin". I mean no we aren't related but we've been told for years now that we look almost identical when we smile. It's the asian squinty eyes, ya heard.

Here's to never growing up. And backin' that azz up with Whit.

Don't Phunk With My Heart by The Black Eyed Peas on Grooveshark

pst. hey, here's something I never do!

Ok, so I rarely post on Tuesdays & Thursdays  but I cannot sit still and contain my excitement! (Call me Junie B. Jones...who remembers her?)
Yup, this is how I feel.

After researching every blog that gives out blog tips, I found myself reading iblog4me. They said how important social media is, and with that I caved in and got a twitter. My life isn't entertaining but I want to be able to share it with you all!

Sometimes, in fact, i do, post Fitzgerald quotes to Sinatra lyrics or the current old time movie I'm watching. Obviously, Singing in the Rain.

I also like traveling! For this summer I started a bucket list, so if I am able to check things off the list I'm most certain I am going to be screaming on your twitter feeds. So, sorry. But why not follow?!

**
Did you realize that my blog is now prettier than ever? Yep, you probably did. Thank Erin, at Love, Fun, and Football. Not only is she the sweetest and I love reading her blog on the daily, her blog designs are so reasonable and you get so much! Even a really cool button which I didn't have before. whichhhhh you should definitely check out, too! Follow her on twitter!

Stop by and say hello!
